Melanotan II
Melanotan II (MT-II)
Research Use Only · Not for Human Consumption
Melanotan II (MT-II) is a synthetic cyclic analog of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). It non-selectively activates multiple melanocortin receptor subtypes (MC1R, MC3R, MC4R, MC5R). MT-II was originally developed to study UV-independent melanogenesis (skin darkening) and has since been used broadly in melanocortin receptor pharmacology research.
