Thymosin Alpha-1 (Tα1)
Research Use Only · Not for Human Consumption
Thymosin Alpha-1 (Tα1) is a naturally occurring 28-amino-acid peptide originally isolated from thymosin fraction 5, a thymus gland extract. It has been studied extensively for its effects on T-cell maturation, NK cell activity, dendritic cell function, and cytokine production. Tα1 is acetylated at its N-terminus and is a product of the PTMS gene. It is one of the most researched immunomodulatory peptides.
